About Your Blogs:
The word "blog" is short for web log, a form of e-journaling that often provides commentary or news on a particular subject. As a form of open-ended communication, it allows teachers and students to have their own voice in the educational forum.
Your Blogs is a place where you can write periodic entries for public viewing and feedback. You can write as much or as little as you like in your blog entry. To allow others to view, rate, or add comments to the entry, just select Yes from the drop down menu in the Live field before submitting your entry. Once you've started a blog, you can select Edit to add entries to your ongoing blog topic. If you'd like to start a fresh blog, click the link for Start a New Blog.
Your Blogs is also a place that you can use as a private journal or notepad. Just select No from the drop down menu in the Live field either when you are starting a new blog or when editing an existing blog. No one else will be able to publicly view a blog that is not "live".
Your Blogs can function as a more formal educational tool in courses where students are required to keep journals or for those short papers with titles like "What I Did Over Summer Vacation".
